MFest Party Crew journey through the island on bar hopping frenzy

    BASSETERRE, St.Kitts, June 16th 2011 - Last Friday afternoon, members of the St. Kitts Music Festival Local Promotions Committee and the MFest (Music Festival) Girls had a blast as they journeyed through the island –aboard a partying bus-, stopping at various bars, hangouts spot and even walking about the streets spreading the good vibes about next week’s pending festivity.

     

    The first official stop was made on Fort Street, dubbed the ‘Action Avenue.” There the MFest Girls handed out flyers, mixed and mingled with individuals by revving up the excitement of the 15th annual St. Kitts Music Festival.

     


    A stop was made at Bamboo Lounge in Frigate Bay later that night. The party continued and the MFest crew chit-chatted with nationals as well as residing university students while DJ CJ kept the crowd grooving to a diverse blend of music which included songs by some of the artistes scheduled to perform on the festival thus year. The final stop was made at Ziggy's Beach Bar on the Frigate Bay Strip.

     


    Other stops included during the jovial journey were made in Cayon which including the popular Green Valley Pub, Molineux, Saddlers, Sandy Point and OJ Gas Station.

     

    An interesting highlight of the outing was when the MFest party stopped at ‘The Hill’ in St.Pauls and interacted with the athletes and sports enthusiasts there on the football field and basketball court.

     


    “We had a lot of fun. Anywhere we saw people we just got out and went over to them,” ……said Chairperson of the local promotions committee, Chazette Mills.

     


    The three nightly concerts (June 23-25) takes place at Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre.
