BASSETERRE St. Kitts - HEALTH appears to be the new area which businesses are trying to push forward as a several promotions geared towards this area have been the focus for this week.
Listed below are the St. Kitts Business Updates for this week.
THE CITY DRUG STORE (2005) Limited, a branch of the TDC Group of Companies (TDC), will be offering free examination services to the public. This service became effective Tuesday (June 14). A team of trained in-house professionals are conducting the screenings and they are also offering useful advice and information, as well as medical practitioner referrals where necessary. Additionally, the company is making a wider range of products available to the public to assist persons who are affected by common ailments.
LIME, the telecommunications giant, will be making a presentation to their Easter Hunt Promotion Winner on June 20 at their Cayon Street Store. The lucky person will be presented with a desk top computer and 3 months’ free internet.
THE FURNITURE AND APPLIANCES DEPARTMENT of S.L Horfords & Company Ltd. continues its cash back promotion where consumers will receive cash back coupons for free groceries with every Higher Purchase made. Consumers will also be given a chance to win a free living room set, dining room set, bedroom set or a kitchen appliances package with every EC$100 spent. This promotion runs from June to December 2011.
THE BUILDING CENTRE will be having a Father’s Day Sale tomorrow (June 18) where customers will be offered 30 percent off items storewide. On that same day, there will be Men’s Health and Wellness at Horsford’s Building Centre on Wellington Road, Basseterre from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and at the Nevis Branch in Stoney Grove from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Medical practitioners will be giving free blood pressure and diabetes checkups. There will also be a Men’s Health Counselling on prostate cancer and the heart.
THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK hosted the first in a series of mini seminars on Wednesday (June 15). The seminar was held in an effort to increase understanding of economic and financial concepts and matters among media practitioners.
THE ST. CHRISTOPHER AIR AND SEA PORTS AUTHORITY (SCASPA) received a US$300,000 cheque courtesy of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to purchase a Reach Stacker. The cheque was presented to Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt earlier this week.
NAGICO Insurance Company Ltd. will be continuing celebrations of their 7th Anniversary since operating in St. Kitts and Nevis with a Customer Appreciation Day in the Memorial Square, Charlestown tomorrow (June 17). The Nevis public will have an opportunity to interact with the company’s management and staff and learn more about their products and services. Special offers on insurance products will be made available and patrons will have free blood pressure checks and free blood glucose testing.
Free giveaways and prizes include gift certificates of $100, Music Festival tickets and NAGICO Insurance souvenir items. Lots of musical entertainment will be provided.
