The evening opened with cocktails, featuring Cable & Wireless signature drinks and then transitioned to a delectable dinner in an ambience befitting of an Emmy after party.

Dinner out of the way, the main event was awaited with bated breath. Ably directed by the fashionable host and hostess of the evening, Clyde Richardson and Pam Martin, the programme bowled off with a special award, acknowledging over 40 staff for their role in Cricket World Cup.

Thereafter, it was a constant trek towards centre stage for presentations of several other categories of recognition. Vice President Customer Services turned Production Manager, Robert Williams, flawlessly coordinated the stage escorts, award presenters and winners, making for a smooth flow of the many presentations.

The spotlight was later to be turned on him, when he was announced Executive of the Year, an award which honoured his untiring contribution as Chair of the local C&W Team charged with the execution of the telecoms solutions for Cricket World Cup. 

By popular vote, Deanne Arthurton was declared Employee of the Year, while the Chairman’s Award was presented to Clyde Richardson for his many IT-related initiatives implemented over the course of the last financial year.

The latter presentation was made by one of the Board Directors, His Excellency Mr. Fred Lam who shared in the evening of celebration with his wife Betty.
