BASSETERRE St. Kitts – S L HORSFORD’S celebrated dads on Friday (June 18) with a ‘Just for Dad’ Father’s Day Sale and Men’s Health and Wellness Fair.
The event, which took place at the Horsford’s Building Center on Wellington Road, ran from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and saw massive store-wide discounts of up to 30 percent as well as hourly prizes and giveaways to customers.
To compliment the savings, the Building Center also hosted a Men’s Health and Wellness Fair. The men, either before or after taking advantage of the discounts offered, were able to receive Blood Pressure and Diabetes checks free of charge; while counselling and educational materials on prostate and heart health were also offered.
The check-ups and counselling were done courtesy the International University of Nursing and the University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Women who accompanied some of the men at the fair had showed interest in the learning opportunity as well as the free check-ups and they were not turned down, as they too were able to take advantage of the offers.
With every purchase made, customers received a free gift compliments S L Horsford’s.
The event also took place in Nevis from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Horsford’s Building Centre, Stoney Grove. The fair on that end of the Federation was conducted by the Nurses of the Public Health Sector.
