    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 20th 2011 - With a massive jam session, last Friday night, the Small Axe Band brought the curtains down on yet another yearly electrifying block party put on by the St. Kitts Music Festival Local Promotions Committee.
     
    An impressive crowd of music festival enthusiasts, music lovers and other interested onlookers assembled on the Princes Street venue to revel in the excitement.

     

    Many persons could be seen  swaying and grooving in the atmosphere which undoubtedly filled the air with music festival hype as the countdown gets closer to the extravaganza.
     
    The self-acclaimed ‘Sweetest Band in the World, (the Small Axe Band) is scheduled to perform on the first night of this week's 15th annual St. Kitts Music Festival (23-25 June) to be held at Warner Park.
     
    The band with its energetic and uptempo performance treated fans and prospective patrons to glimpse and feel of their pending appearance on the ‘big stage.’

     

    There were tickets giveways as few lucky persons won free entry admittance to a night of the music festival.
     
    Rocking the sound system earlier that day was Mixclusive Sound which provided a diverse music mixing and highlighted artistes scheduled to perform on the music festival this year. and encouraged persons to attend.
     
    Chalice Sound International, the first ever title holder of the St. Kitts Music Festival DJ Sound Clash,  showed why they deserved to be called the best in the competition.
     
    Part of the winnings has landed that sound system a 20-30 minutes appearance on the music festival and this DJ soud system, too, whetted the appetite of those in attendance.
     
    In a previous interview with Manager of Chalice Sounds International, Andrew Arthurton he said patrons can expect “hype” come the night of the sound’s performance.
     
    The 15th annual St. Kitts Music festival line- up is as follows:
     
     
    Thursday:
    Nu Vybes Band International Band, Small Axe Band, Ali Campbell’s UB40, Bunny Wailer, Mic Stokes, King Konris, Xman and The Kore featuring Gharlic.
     
    Friday: Gyptian, Demarco, Konshens, Black Ryno, Maxi Priest, Coco Tea and Yellow Man. 
     
    Saturday: Jah Cure, Commodores, Fantasia, East Meets West and Chalice Sounds International.
