The following persons were arrested and charged with offences between 29th June and 1st July 2007;
· Rayjorn Richards of St. Paul’s Village was charged with the offence of “Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm” committed on 28th June 2007 at the Paul Southwell Industrial Park. The offence was committed when Richards entered a business place armed with a knife and assaulted the owner.
· Keon Fyfield of Newtown was charged with the offence of “Wounding with Intent” by shooting committed on 1st June 2007 at Cayon Street, Basseterre. The offence was committed when Fyfield and another assaulted and shot a male adult of the Basseterre area.

· Damian “Nashie” Isaac of Wingfield Road, Old Road and Kwesi Twells of Manchester Avenue, Basseterre were jointly charged with the offences of “Possession of a Firearm” and “Possession of Ammunition” committed on 29th June 2007 on the Bay Road in the vicinity of KFC. They were stopped and searched by officers on suspicion of being about to commit a felony when the firearm was found.
· Marlon Francis Thomas of Newtown was charged with the offence of “Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm” committed on 10th February 2007 at Pitcairn Street, Newtown, Basseterre.
· Rayjorn Richards of St. Pauls and Keon Fyfield of Newtown were jointly charged with the offence of “Wounding” committed on 29th June 2007.
· Milton “Shoeshine” Phipps of Newtown was charged with the offences of “Larceny” and “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis committed on 2nd July 2007 at City Drug Store.
· Lorenzo Hendrickson of Sandy Point was charged with the offence of “Battery” committed on 13th June 2007.
· A sixteen-year-old male of the Tabernacle Village area was charged with the offence of “Battery”.
· A sixteen-year-old male of the Basseterre area was charged with the offence of “Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon” committed on 29th June 2007 at Fort Street, Basseterre.
The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 2nd June 2007;
· Maurice Kelly Fraites of Stapleton Village who was charged with two counts of “Making use of Indecent Language” committed on 28th March and 13th April 2007 was convicted on both charges. He was fined $300.00 to be paid in one month or in default to serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment with hard labour for each charge.
· Edwin Douglas of Chapel Street, Dieppe Bay was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment with hard labour, for the offence of “Malicious Damage” committed on 11th November 2006.
