    Horsford's and Penta Paint "Paint on the spot" art competition winners along with their some of their parents,teachers and the Principal of the overal winning school Mr. Sylvester Charles (far left) at the prize giving ceremony for the competition.

     

     

     

    The Horsford Group of Companies, in collaboration with PENTA Paints, this week officially presented vouchers for over fifty (50) gallons of paint to be used to enhance Tucker-Clarke Primary School's physical environment. The project, which also includes labour costs, will cover the painting of the northern, eastern and western facades of the school, in addition to both male and female bathroom facilities.

     

     

     

    The contribution is a result of the school's victory in the recently held inaugural Horsford's/Penta Paints "Paint-on-the-Spot" Art Competition, which Tucker-Clarke won from a field of seventeen primary and three secondary schools on St. Kitts. The Newtown-based school entered the greatest number of participants and at the end of the event accumulated the most /overall/ /winning/ points. Noel Nichols, Dylan Defreitas and Aljani Bridgewater did their school proud by winning the 1^st ., 2^nd . and 3^rd . places respectively in the 8 to 12 year old age group.

    ~~Adz:Left~~The occasion was also used announce Horsford's /additional/ contribution of $3,000.00 worth of building materials to be used for renovating the principal's office and staff room, a project spearheaded by the Parents/Teachers' Association through its President, Alonzo "Johnny" Matthew. Mr. Wallis Wilkin, Assistant Marketing Manager of the Horsford's Group, expressed his company's pleasure in presenting the paint and building materials to Tucker-Clarke. The marketing executive also voiced his appreciation to the school and President Matthew for giving Horsford's the opportunity to assist that educational institution in such a tangible way.

     

     

     

    Both projects are expected to be completed within the next two to three weeks.
