             The following persons were convicted at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 3rd July 2007.

     

    ·      Lanval Chapman of New Castle was convicted and fined $2,000.00 in three (3) months or in default to serve three (3) months imprisonment for the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis committed on 2nd July 2007 at Charlestown.
     

    ·       Randolph Duggins of Charlestown was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid in one week or in default to serve one (1) months imprisonment for the offence of “Battery” committed on 20th May 2007 at Butlers Village

    ·      Collin Archibald of Brown Hill was convicted and fined $1,000.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default to serve three (3) months imprisonment for the offence of “Driving without a valid license”. He was also convicted and fined $1,000.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment or in default to serve three months imprisonment for the offence of “Driving without insurance”. Archibald was also convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment for the offence of “Careless Driving”. The offences were committed on 17th June 2007 at Craddock Road.
     
    ·     Maureen Stapleton of Cox Village was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment for the offence of “Careless Driving”, committed on 14h January 2007 at Hamilton.
     
    ·    Adrias Persuad of Craddock Road was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid in three (3) months or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment for the offence of “Driving an unlicensed Vehicle”, committed on 18h March 2007 at Pinneys.
     
                The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Tuesday 3rd July 2007;

    ·     Hosea Garnette of Tabernacle Village was convicted and sentenced to serve six (6) months imprisonment with hard labour for the offence of “Larceny” committed on 22nd February 2007.

    ·     Joleen Henry of Lower Cayon was convicted, reprimanded and discharged for the offence of “Disorderly Conduct” by making noise, committed at the Cayon Police Station on 3rd July 2007.
     
    ·    Adonis Gumbs of Irish Town was convicted and sentenced to serve six (6) months imprisonment with hard labour for the offence of “Battery” committed on 7th January 2007.
     

              The following persons were arrested and charged:-

     

    ·     Lennox Gumbs of St. Johnson Village was charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on 3rd July 2007.
     
    ·     Joleen Henry of Lower Cayon was charged with the offence of “Disorderly Conduct” by making noise, committed at the Cayon Police Station on 3rd July 2007.
