BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHEN it comes to having fun, there are some people who will go to the extreme to fully enjoy themselves and make a statement. Alston ‘Sexual Chocolate’ Francis did just that last night (June 23) at the Music Festival.
Francis got into the festival spirit and wore a bath towel bearing the Federation’s flag with a soap tucked in the front as if he were ready to take a bath He completed his costume with a straw hat and a bag pack on his shirtless body.
He said that he brought the soap because he came ready to ‘drop it’ in keeping with Small Axe Band’s latest popular song. He added, “I know they will be bad tonight.”
Francis said he is a Nu Vybes Band fan but he came to ‘Drop De Soap’. Small Axe Band recently released this song which has become quite popular for these catchy lines: “Gal picture me and you a bathe and de soap drop…Wha you gon do? Bend over and pick it up”
Francis’ attire caught many people’s attention and when approached by SKNVibes and asked to explain the meaning of his dress code, he stated that it is Music Festival time and he is a Kittitian to the bone and wanted to dress in something local and different.
He said he went out to enjoy himself and to show others how to enjoy themselves. “When you go to a music festival you can’t go casual... I been to festivals all over the Caribbean and I see people enjoying themselves ... is only we here want to come and stand up and don’t enjoy ourselves,” he added.
Francis said he is trying to change the mood and let people know that this is the way to go to a festival especially on ‘jump up night’.
