Police are requesting the public’s assistance in finding a fifteen-year-old female who was reported missing two days ago. Kyra Carey of Brambles Crescent, Tabernacle was last seen by her mother on the morning of Sunday 8th July 2007.
Kyra is dark in complexion, approximately 5’ – 3” in height, has browne eyes with a round face.
Any person(s), who may know of the whereabouts of Kyra Carey, is asked to contact the Tabernacle Police Station at 465-7227 or the nearest Police Station.
The following persons were arrested and charged on 10th March 2007;
· Loreal Browne of George Street, Newtown was charged with two counts of the offence of “Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” committed in May and July 2007 on a fourteen-year-old female.
· Gregory Mills of Boyd’s Village was charged with the offence of “Wounding with Intent” committed on 8th July 2007.
· Llewellyn Newton of Farms Site, Sandy Point was charged with the offence of “Wounding with Intent” committed on 5th June 2007.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday 9th July 2007, officers of the Sandy Point Police Station responded to a report of a house fire at Downing Street, Sandy Point. After the fire was extinguished the bodies of two children were found inside of the rubble of the house which was completely destroyed by fire.
On Tuesday 10th July 2007, a post mortem was performed on the remains of the children by Dr. De Brok, who concluded that death was caused by smoke inhalation and burns to one hundred percent of their bodies.
