(Basseterre; St. Kitts): Cable & Wireless has done it again! The telecommunications company has undertaken the task of sponsoring not one but three different organizations in there quest to educate and strengthen the faith of young people throughout the region.

Vice President of Cooperate Communications and Marketing Lavern Caines, along with Seana Williams Marketing Manager of Cable & Wireless, presented three separate cheques yesterday July 24th, to Chairman Odell Bussue of the Inaugural Eastern Caribbean Conference, Youth Chaplin Reverend Elroy Zakers of Anglican Young People Association (A.Y.P.A) and the Wesleyan Holiness Church.

The cheques are to help with the funding of the various conferences held by these organizations.

“Cable & Wireless is always keen to support activities that will bring young people together and they are happy to support young people in their mission,” according to Mrs. Caines.

All three representatives from each organization thanked Cable & Wireless for their kind support and said other companies should emulate the generosity of the telecommunications giant, which has been a model corporate citizen.

The Anglican Young People Association conference is in its 38th year and is held from July 20th to 29th while the Inaugural Eastern Caribbean Conference, which was a health conference, held July 16th to 20th under the theme “Cooperating to build a healthier community.”

The Caribbean Wesleyan Youth Conference is the first of its kind in the federation.
