    2006 LYAA Award Winners

     

    The Director of the Liamuiga Youth Legacy Awards Association, Selections Committee Ms. Teslyn Simmonds announced that the 2007 LIAMUIGA YOUTH LEGACYAWARDEEShave been selected.

     

    She said that on Friday 10th August 2007 at the Ocean Terrace Inn Jihan Williams, Joyelle Clarke, Candisie Franklin, Sudeakka Francis, Dr. Garfield Alexander and Khrystus Wallace would be recognized for scholarship, leadership and service. The organization’s premiere award the Legacy Award will be bestowed upon Mrs. Lavern Louard Greaves and Mr. Leslie ‘Sugar Bowl’ Morton.

     

    Ms. Simmonds informed that the organization selects three outstanding young men and three outstanding young women on an annual basis for recognition.

     

    2005 LYAA Award Winners

     

    She said that the 2007 Liamuiga Youth Legacy Awards selections process deviated from its norm in that four young ladies and two young men were selected. She said that the selection process gets more difficult each year as the caliber of young persons applying or who are nominated for the awards are truly exceptional.

     

    Founder/Chairperson of the Liamuiga Youth Legacy Awards Association, Ms. Mutryce A. Williams said that she is quite impressed with the cadre of young persons who were selected.

     

     

     

     

     

    ~~Adz:Left~~ She said that on the organization’s fourth anniversary the objective is still to prove to society that there are young people who are agents of change, young people who have and still continue to contribute to the development of St. Kitts.

     

       

     

    The Liamuiga Youth Legacy Awards Association is an Honour Society that recognizes young citizens of St. Kitts ages 16 through 35 who have lived exemplary lives of Scholarship, Leadership and Service. Since its inception in 2004, LYLAA has honoured Sharalee Benjamin-Kelly, Shamara Morton, Janelle Lewis, Fadil Imo, Terrance Martin, Steve Whittaker, Geoffrey Hanley, Deidre Daniel, Claricia Langley, Jacqueline Bryan, Clive Saunders, Stachio Williams, Jenson Morton, Nigel Browne, Winnielle Guilbert, Diana Williams, Janelle Powell, Michelaena Mills, Pierre Liburd, Konris Maynard, Von Michael Martin, Gloria Esdaille and Francil Morris.
