Valedictorians and Others to appear On GIS Radio Special

    ROADTOWN Tortola, BVI, July 6th, 2011 - The special series of GIS Radio Reports named ‘Voices of Graduation’ will feature the Territory’s top students and education professionals speaking about the 2011 school year and their personal experiences and triumphs throughout the year.

     

    The Valedictorians of the Territory’s secondary schools and the Valedictorians and other students of the Technical and Vocational programmes will appear on a special series of broadcasts being recorded for the GIS Radio Report.

     

    The Ministry of Education and Culture is excited about the series as it will highlight the Territory’s students in a positive light. The series will also make history as the third episode which features the cohort of the Valedictorians of the secondary schools will mark the first time that all the Territory’s Valedictorians of secondary schools will sit together for a joint interview.

     

    The Valedictorians represent the Elmore Stoutt High School, the Seventh-day Adventist Secondary School, the St. George’s Secondary School, the Claudia Creque Educational Centre and the Bregado Flax Educational Centre’s Secondary Division. Respectfully they also represent five of the top 15 students in the Territory.

     

    Already, the Valedictorians and other students of the Technical Vocational Educational Training Programme (TVET) and the BVI Technical Vocational Institute (BVITVI) have appeared on the programme.The Ministry is inviting the Territory to listen to the GIS Radio Report to enjoy the casual and informative interviews featuring the students.

     

    The GIS Radio Report special ‘Voices of Graduation’ will air on Wednesday afternoons at 6:35 p.m. and Thursday mornings at 8:35 a.m. on radio station ZBVI, Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. on radio station ZROD, at 5:30 p.m. on radio station ZCCR, at 6: 15 on radio station ZVCR and at 7:15 p.m. on radio station ZKING.
