(Charlestown, Nevis) --- Public Relations Officer for the Hensley Daniel Campaign, Mr. Ron Daniel has announced that moves are afoot to ensure a whopping victory for Hon. Deputy Premier Hensley Daniel.
During a brief interview with SKNVibes.com Daniel explained that since the Deputy Premier’s initial rise to office he has maintained close contact with members of his constituency.
“Since Mr. Daniel was elected last year, we have kept up close contact with the constituency through house to house visits and the like. Further, bearing in mind that the by-election also constitutes the parish of St. Paul’s we have also gone house to house in Charlestown”, said the Public Relations Officer.
He noted that the campaign committee has been vigilant in ensuring that members of the general public are properly registered to vote in their respective constituencies. They also have been adamant about hosting public meetings on a regular basis with a view to sensitize the general public as they deem it an integral component of the political process. ~~Adz:Right~~
Daniel continued, “In addition to registering people we have started holding public meetings on a regular basis with a view not only to educate the public about Mr. Daniel’s vision but also to have a chance to hear from the public as we feel that it is important part of the political process.
“We have also launched the website www.votehensley.com and we urge everyone to go there where we have a host of information where people from within Nevis and the wider diaspora can send their comments as well as obtain valuable information about the Hensley Daniel campaign.
“We are quietly confident of our victory at the polls. Hensley Daniel is known to all as a man who has worked hard in the community for thirty years. He has given of his finances, time and his energies in the development of communities on Nevis since 1977 when at the age of 18 years old he was one of the pioneers of the first community organization, the St. John’s Community Improvement Club, a group which is still vibrant today.
“While others have become keen to sponsor everything now that they are in politics, jump into buses and give the impression that they care Hensley Daniel has always been genuine in his commitment to community development as evidenced by his 30 years of commitment even outside of politics. Due to the untimely passing of Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Malcolm Guishard on June 11th, 2007 who died of stroke during a routine morning visit to Gallows Bay the seat was made vacant and as such the bi-elections in Nevis 9 will be held on Monday August 27th in Nevis.
