BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 29TH 2007 (CUOPM) – Come September, primary school children will get a balanced diet of  peas and beans, natural fruit juices, meat varieties, and vegetables as part of a new menu.

The Denzil Douglas Labour Party Cabinet has received a full report from a committee that was charged to review the school meals programme.

Minister of State for Information, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty said the report has provided recommendations for the improvement of the school-feeding programme to  comprise a new menu which will now rotate on a four week basis instead of a weekly basis.
