ROADTOWN Tortola, BVI, July 12th, 2011 - During his visit, Mr. Malone will meet with His Excellency the Governor Mr. Boyd McCleary, CMG, CVO, Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE, Deputy Governor Mrs. Inez V. Archibald and Acting Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office Ms. Sandra Ward, among others.

– Director of the BVI London Office Mr. Kedrick Malone is currently in the Territory to present government officials with a mid-year report on the developments taking place in the United Kingdom (UK) and European Union (EU) that will have a significant impact on the Territory.

Mr. Malone told the Department of Information and Public Relations that one of the goals of his visit is “to make local stakeholders aware of the issues involved so that they gain a better understanding of the relationship between the UK, EU and the Virgin Islands (VI).”

He will also use his visit to the Territory as an opportunity to inform the public about the role and functions of the BVI London Office during appearances on local television and radio programmes.

The BVI London Office was established in 2002. It serves as headquarters for official visits to the UK/European region and supports Virgin Islanders living and studying in Britain. The BVI London Office falls under the management of the Premier’s Office.
