(St. Augustine, Trinidad) --- First year students of the University of the West Indies recently took part in a Check-In program which was put on by the university with a view to assist them in their transition into UWI Life.

As part of the program, all first year students were invited to stay on campus over the weekend to take part in various orientation activities including question and answer segments, campus tours, and an island tour.

During an interview with SKNVibes.com Director of Student Services, Ms. Deidre Charles explained the overall objectives and expectations of the program.

“The program is entitled the Check-In program and its objective is to help first year and first time non-Trinidadian students in their transition to UWI life. Generally I think that they are doing very well.
