The Police have apprehended a young man in connection with the murder of Dave Howard Hendrickson who was commonly known as Dave “Jah Man” Browne, and are questioning him. The deceased man, said to be in his early 40’s, was found dead in George Street, New Town, on Friday, August 31st. The cause of death was determined to be as a result of a gunshot to the head.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the young man who has been picked up is Terrance Ritchin, from the New Town area, who is said to be in the same gang as Jahved ”Fat Head” Johnson, who had received multiple stab wounds during an altercation in the vicinity of J’s Shop and Save on the evening of Friday, August 31st.
It is widely believed that Jah Man’s murder and the earlier altercation between Fat Head and Sleepy are related.

Sources state that Jah Man and Sleepy are related and the murder was a way to exact revenge for the stabbing up of Fat Head.
One source noted that Fat Head always confronted “Sleepy”, expressing his hatred of him and his intent to cause bodily harm and in some cases, even death. It is alleged that Fat Head pulled a gun on Sleepy on at least one occasion, hence the violent reaction from Sleepy.
It is also widely believed that in an attempt to avenge Fat Head’s demise, revenge was hastily taken on Jah Man.
Jah Man’s Murder has stirred much response from the community, as it is said that he “never used to mess with anybody.”
The Criminal Investigation Department is continuing their investigations.
In the mean time, the Police are still continuing their hunt for Lester “Eight Ball” Tross, who is wanted for the offence of shooting at with intent.
Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact the Police at 465-2241.
