Police on scene where Yankee's body was found |
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force continues to reassure residents that any information fed to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) or any other Police Department, will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
The words of assurance came from Superintendent Joseph Richardson, Head of the CID, who confirmed that persons who call the CID to provide information have the privilege of being anonymous.

There were some concerns as to the anonymity of persons after the recent killing of Conrad “Yankee” Davis. Davis body was found in the West Bourne Ghaut area, with a gun shot to the head.
It is alleged that prior to being killed, Yankee had “cooperated” with the Police.
Further allegations state that one night when Security Forces was patrolling the same area, officers stopped Yankee and asked him if he had seen some persons, with contraband, whom they were looking for.
Allegedly, Yankee said he had indeed seen them and proceeded to direct the Security Forces in the direction where he had last seen the suspects.
It is this sort of “cooperation” many feel led to Yankee’s murder.
However, further discussions with Supt. Richardson, revealed that the Police could not substantiate such allegations.
Meanwhile, the Police are still continuing their investigations into the murder.
