    TODVILLE’S SWORDFISH! Wow!

Good things come to those who bait. ~Author Unknown.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – It was a day in his life that Todville Daniel will hardly ever forget.

There he was off Sandy Point on Thursday, fishing for brim – a deep water red fish – when he realized he had company. This giant swordfish also seemed to be looking for brim… it had taken a fancy to the catch he was bringing in.

Realizing the monstrous size of the fish, Todville telephoned other fishermen that were not too far away for assistance which they willingly gave. Naturally a great fight ensued between the fishermen and the giant swordfish. These fish are known to attack boats.

However, after several hours they were able to land it in the boat. As John Wooden said, "Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to produce uncommon results.”

On opening the stomach of this huge fish, the fishermen found what is known to be the swordfish’s favourite meal – a large squid which could have easily weighed six (6) pounds. (see photo)

This is the second Sword Fish that was caught by Todville as a few weeks ago he did catch another though it was much smaller.

SKNVibes tried to contact Todville to learn more about his experience, the dimensions of the fish and his reaction to it, but he was already out fishing again – hoping maybe to catch the brother or sister of his outstanding catch.

SwordFish is a highly prized and a good eating fish that is now being targeted by our local fishermen.

(If you wish to learn more about the power of the fish with which Todville fought, go to http://youtube/PGaQ13ft_Fc  or type 'Swimming with a Swordfish' in the 'Search' box of YouTube, and see some of its action.)
