~~Adz:Right~~ (Basseterre; St. Kitts): The alleged shooting death of a 26-year-old male, Darren Berridge, at about 1a.m. on Friday, September 14th,  has increased the number of murders for the year so far in St. Kitts to eleven.

The incident occurred at Neverson Street, Newtown.

The young man was found on the ground with blood about his person and was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer. A post mortem is expected to be performed shortly to determine the exact cause of death.

It is also alleged that three men were seen running from the vicinity after the shooting but no one has been picked up for questioning or arrest at this time.

Superintendent Richardson when questioned by SKNVibes on the incident only responded by confirming the shooting and said that the preliminary investigation has not been completed as yet.

“At this moment we cannot give out any information as the Police are still investigating the matter,” he said. “We have not even informed the family of the person who was murdered about his death, so I can’t give any information to the press.”
