Fruta Falcon Coach and the SKABA Junior Division most winningest Coach in the last 5 years Sean Bucksy Crossly
Press Release

BASSETERRE St.Kitts, July 22nd, 2011 - The SKABA Junior division's winningest Coach in the last 6 years Coach Sean “Bucksy” Crossley says that his team will be back next year for an unprecedented 6th junior division title in 7 years. This was his post game comments after losing a hard fought game 3 against the Blue Devils and falling short of a record 6th straight.

    Junior Division Championship

“Well first I want to say congrats to the Blue Devils.  I found the team started to play to late my guys started nervous but we got ourselves back in the game and we should be proud still to see we went in as the number 4 seed and we were still able to reach the finals despite the fact that we were counted out by most,” said Coach Crossley

Crossly continued “The team came into this season a much different team to the dominant line-up that won 5 straight championships. However I am proud of them as this team was really in rebuilding mood for this season and despite that we were able to reach the finals for the 6th straight year and the same team will be back next year.”

The officiating came in for some criticism but it was generally felt that the referees operated at a high standard.
“We need to look into getting overseas referees for the playoffs or even refs out of Nevis,” said Crossley. “I am not necessarily blaming the officiating for our loss but I think generally speaking for the junior and all divisions the SKABA should consider overseas referees for finals games series,” Crossley continued

Crossley also used the opportunity to thank some key persons for his team’s success this year and over the past 5 years. “The team started the season very slow because we were trying to get it together and we got it together at the right time during the playoffs when it counts. We will now look ahead to 2012 and taking back what's ours.

We must say special thanks to OD Brisbane, the entire Sandy Point community that came out, the SPIRIT community group who was also behind us, the constituency representative the Hon. Shawn K. Richards who has been one of our biggest fans and supporters over the last 5 championships and the team manager Leroy “Litol” Benjamin jr thanks to all of them,” Crossley concluded
