Wycliffe Liburd, Romeo Cannonier, Rape and Murder Cases Expected be heard at this Assizes

*Thirty cases traversed from last Sitting*

(Basseterre; St. Kitts): There were thirty cases of criminal offences traversed from the last High Court Assizes that are expected to try for the September 2007 Criminal Assizes.

Among those cases include sex related offences including that of Zephaniah Calboune who was charged with Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, his case is expected to try on Oct. 9.

Alfonso James who previously pled not guilty to Rape and Unlawful Carnal Knowledge will have his case heard on Oct. 8.

James Weekes who was charged with Indecent Assault will appear in court for his trial on Oct. 22.

Calvert Flemming was charged with Indecent Assault and his case is expected to try on Oct. 25.

Enslie Wilkin who is charged with Incest and Indecent Assault will have his case heard on Oct. 23.

While Samuel Caines and Rodney Steinbergen will appear at court on Oct. 22 and Oct. 9, respectively for their Indecent Assault cases.

Ovan Liddie will reappear in court for his trial on Oct. 11 for his Unlawful Carnal Knowledge case while Wycliffe Liburd who was charged with Rape will reappear in Court on Oct. 17 for his case.

The crime of Robbery, Assault with intent to Rob and Having a fire arm in possession with intent to endanger life involving Ramie Gumbs, Jamal Parris, Karim Dickenson and Devon Wattley is expected to be tried on Oct. 31.

The foursome is also facing another count of Robbery that will also heard on the said date as their previous matter.

Romeo Cannonier is facing two separate murder charges. His first murder trial is set to be heard on Oct. 15. While his second murder case where he is charged along with Sheldon Isaac, Ruedeney Williams and Louis Gardener will be heard on Oct. 30.

Richard Morris is charged with murder as well and is expected to have his case heard on Oct. 1.
