St. Kitts Entertainment review (July 25, 2011)

: RANDOM SHOTS FROM SENSIA’S BIRTHDAY BASH
By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Although the weekend was one filled with rain, some events still managed to be successful and one such event was the much anticipated Triple S – Sweet Sister Sensia’s Slimas VS Fluffy  Birthday Bash.

Friday seemed to have been a quiet one with not much to do apart from the action at the Frigate Bay Strip. Though the beach was pumping with action, it was Ziggy’s bar which saw most of the patrons while the other bars saw very few.

There was also excitement in Sandy Point at the G-Spot where the regular ‘Feel Good Fridaze’ took place giving its patrons another feel good time.

On Saturday night the Miss Caribbean Culture Swimsuit show was postponed until the following night due to inclement weather conditions.

As the rain held up late in the afternoon, many people who had their hopes up to attend Triple S – Sweet Sister Sensia’s Slimas VS Fluffy Birthday Bash were not at all disappointed.

The event saw a huge turnout at LIME Grounds and females of all shapes and sizes were ‘rocking’ their sexy dresses as the theme suggested.

Besides partying to the sounds of DJ’s and bands, a dance off took place between one slim female name Cheraine and one big boned female who goes by the name of Fluffy.

The competition created much excitement as both females gave each other a run, gyrating in splits, flicking bottoms and whining on their headtops. At the end of it all, the large crowd was the judge and Fluffy was declared the winner taking home one BlackBerry. Both dancers also received $200 each.

By the time the sun was ready to come out patrons were still partying hard; some looked as if they had been through a ‘war’ with hair all over, shoes in hand, and clothes completely wet.

On Sunday the 10 beauties in the Miss Caribbean Culture Pageant finally got the chance to hit the stage and showed what they had been preparing for over the last few weeks.

Representatives from Dominica, Nevis, St. Vincent, Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados, St. Kitts, Montserrat, St. Lucia and Anguilla all made three appearances - Promotional Speech done in Ambassadorial Wear – Appearance in One Piece swimsuit – Appearance in two piece swimsuit.

Although the attendance was poor, all of the contestants displayed confidence.  The swimsuits were attractive and varied in colour and designs. The 11th contestant who was supposed to be represented by Trinidad and Tobago did not appear in the show. No explanation was given.

The show ended around 11:00 p.m. and a few patrons headed to the Frigate Bay Strip where some individuals climaxed their weekend  before the new work-week started.
