    Basseterre; St. Kitts:
Two young men are recuperating today, Monday 15th, after they nearly drowned, in choppy seas.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, October 14th, at the western end of the Frigate Bay Beach.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the young men started to encounter some difficulty while taking a swim not far from shore.

His cousin, realizing what was happening, entered the water and made an attempt to rescue him, but he too encountered some difficulty.

Owing to some quick action by a resident of the area and other persons on the beach, the two young men were rescued, with the aid of two floating devices.

The Coast Guard was also summoned and they assisted in the resuscitation of the young man that nearly drowned first.

The EMS was also summoned and both young men were taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.
