BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (JANUARY 27TH 2004) - Students from the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis continue to excel at Cameron University, Oklahoma, in the United States.
Seventeen have been placed on the Honour Rolls for the Fall of 2003 with five students on the President’s List and 12 on the Dean’s List.
The Kittitians on the President’s List are Sheila T. Hodge, Antonio W. H. Francis, Dale L. Powell, Lisa M. Eddy and Carline B. Edwards. To be placed on the President’s List, a student must have had a full-time status (12 or more hours) and a 4.0 GPA for the semester.
On the Dean’s List are Kittitians Shea N.H. Byron, Almon S. Crooke, Teshelle S. Francis, Glenn Z. Davis, Monique I. Simpson, Shernel C. James, G.E. Donato Scarborough, Clement J. Williams, Larry S. Vaughn and Jaslynn A. Taylor. The Nevisians on the Dean’s List are Sean L. Parry and Jermaine D. Stapleton. To be placed on the Dean’s List a student must have had a full time status (12 or more hours) and a GPA of 3.0 or above for the semester.
Cameron University is recognised as one of the finest higher educational institutions in Oklahoma. It offers students the chance to pursue associate, bachelor, and master degrees in a variety of subjects while enjoying a multitude of social and cultural activities and mixing with a diverse student population.
It is the only university in the state that offers associate degree, bachelor’s degree and masters degree training all on the same campus. A student may choose to complete his studies from 63 bachelor degree concentrations, 12 associate degrees, or 4 master degrees.
An agreement with the University of Oklahoma also allows a student to complete a bachelor or master degree in nursing on the Cameron campus. It has approximately 5,000 students each semester.
