BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (SEPTEMBER 7TH 2004) – The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) has re-opened the application process for the provision of Telecommunications Services under the Individual Licensing Regime.
NTRC Co-ordinator, Mr. Glen Dear said several completed applications received up to January 2002 have been forwarded to the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL), the institution responsible for their evaluation.
“Since then, ECTEL has completed the evaluation process of all the applications that it had received and upon its recommendation, the NTRC now invites new applications for individual licenses, which include, Fixed Public Telecommunications, Public Mobile Telecommunications, Public Radio Paging, International Simple Voice, Radio or Television Broadcast, Community Radio and Subscriber Television (Wireless) licences,” said Mr. Dear.
He said applications and forms and other details pertinent to the application process are available free of charge on the ECTEL website (www.ectel.int/ntrckn) or visit its office at the Corner of Wigley Avenue and Jones Street, Basseterre from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday to Friday.
