~~Adz:Left~~{Charlestown; Nevis} Leo Herbert of Cotton Ground and Wilson Jones of Fountain who allegedly broke into property at Paradise Estate on Independence Day, September 19, 2007, were released on a EC$10,000 bail each.

Magistrate Yasmine Clarke also imposed an 8.00 p.m to 5.00 a.m curfew which she said the suspects must observe. She also said that they should not be seen on the streets during the specified curfew hours. If they do not abide by the curfew, their bail would be revoked.

Herbert and Jones, who are represented by Oral Martin, are charged with larceny and break-in. They were granted bail after their lawyer told the court that his clients would not interfere with witnesses or leave the island.

“They have appeared before the court. They would appear to take this trial.  They will not interfere with witnesses,” Martin said. He said one of his clients was only 17 and that his tender age should be considered.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Andre Mitchell, did not object to bail but said they will be expected to report to the police station daily.
