Nevis High Court Criminal Assizes Opens Monday

According to Andre Mitchell, Prosecutor, Nevis, cases to be heard include an unlawful carnal knowledge case where Osborne Hawitt is the defendant. There is a case of wounding with intent where Lawton Forbes of Hamilton will answer charges.
There is also a shooting case where Travis Brazier of Government Road will face High Court. Sean Brown of Cotton Ground will be in High Court to answer charges on inflicting bodily harm while Thomas Simmonds of New Castle will be in High Court due to robbery charges.
Another interesting case listed is that of a husband and wife, Dawn Challenger of Pond Hill and Irvin Challenger who allegedly attempted to influence the jury during Eric’s murder case. Eric was murdered in cold blood near Grove Park during a sports day.
