    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts:
The Cable and a Florida based telecommunications company, One Ring International, have announced the signing of an agreement for One Ring International to provide the Cable with a full suite of its ’ hosted switching solutions, and international long distance traffic termination for the island of St. Kitts.

The Cable will offer its customers complete packages of residential, corporate competitive local, international long distance broadband telephony services over our cable network, stated W.R Ewing, Managing Director of The Cable.

The Cable will market prefix dial international services to customers without broadband allowing them to benefit from cost savings associated with One Ring International powered VoIP services. Residential and businesses will be able to access The Cable’s competitively priced international service dialing a three digit access code in a similar manner to the services in the United States.

“We are extremely happy to be able to work with The Cable and provide the people of St. Kitts with affordable quality communications solutions,” said Senior Vice President of One Ring International, Kenneth Hosfeld.

“This is our first agreement in the region, and it provides us with the opportunity to showcase both our solutions and quality of service.  This is the first step in our Caribbean strategy to allow service providers the ability to give their customers valued added VoIP services over existing cable, fiber optic and wireless network.

The Cable will market and sell the products under its own name and provide customers with features such as call waiting, caller ID, follow me services, voice mail and online account management tools as well as competitive international calling plans.

With One Ring International’s support, we can now give our customers the cost effective triple play of voice, video and data, said The Cable’s Managing Director, W.R Ewing.  Teaming with One Ring International and their technology and expertise in our telephony deployment provides us with speed to market, quality, and the ability to deliver multiple affordable telephony services throughout St. Kitts and Nevis”.

Thanks to One Ring International’s abilities and flexibility, work is already so far advanced that, The Cable expects to deploy the VoIP telephony service and offer prefix dial services by the end of November, 2004 throughout the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Consequently, The Cable has entered into an Interconnection Agreement with Cable & Wireless, and is in the final stages of the actual interconnection that will enable provision of seamless telephone services between customers of both networks.
