A driver for Admiral’s Enterprises was fortunate enough to escape with his life after the truck he was driving, PA 1041, was totally destroyed in an accident on the South East Peninsula, on Monday 12th November.
The driver of the truck, a young man known as Steve, is said to be nursing fractured bones about his body and injuries to his back and his head at the J. N. France General Hospital.
According to Mr. Harrington Bristol, the owner of Admiral’s Enterprises, the truck was being driven to Major’s Bay, to be transported by the Sea Bridge over to Nevis, when the accident occurred.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that after the driver lost control of the vehicle it veered off the road, hit an embankment and then flipped several times, coming to a stop on the right side of the road.
Reports also state that the injured driver and the wreck were discovered by someone who came from Nevis on the Sea Bridge.
The truck was a converted garbage truck, which was being used for septic tank services.
The EMS and Traffic Department personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene.~~Adz:Right~~
