                  Emmet Bart sentenced to Three Months Imprisonment with Hard Labour

    ~~Adz:Left~~ The following convictions, fines and sentences were meted at the Magistrate’s Court on Monday 12th November 2007.
     
    Emmet Bart of Sprot Street, Basseterre, who was charged with the offence of "Wounding", was convicted and sentenced to three months hard labour at Her Majesty’s Prison. The offence was committed on 14th August 2007.
     
     Easton Morson of Upper Market Street, Basseterre, was convicted for the offence of "Battery" and fined eight-hundred dollars ($800.00) to be paid in one month or three in prison upon default. The offence was committed on 10th July 2007.
     
    St. Clair Phillip of Upper Monkey Hill was convicted and sentenced to one month hard labour at Her Majesty’s Prison for the offence of "Malicious Damage." The offence was committed on 23rd October 2007.
     
    A 17 years old juvenile of Taylors Housing Project was convicted for the offence of "Battery." He was fined four-hundred dollars ($400.00) to be paid in three months or one month hard labor in default. The offence was committed on 22nd February 2007.
     
    Mikhail Warde of Ponds Extension and a 16 years old juvenile of Stone Fort Heights were both convicted for the offence of "Carrying abroad an offensive weapon" to wit a Knife. Warde was convicted and fined two-hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) to be paid in three months or in default, he would serve one month in prison. The 16 year old was convicted and cautioned. The offence was committed on the 8th November 2007.

    Leon Sutton of Upper Market Street was convicted for the offences of "Battery" and "Malicious Damage". Sutton was fined eight-hundred dollars ($800.00) to be paid in three months or six months hard labor in default for the offence of Battery. For the offense of Malicious Damage, he was fined four-hundred dollars ($400.00) to be paid in one month or one month in prison if defaulted.

     

    On Tuesday 13th November 2007, police arrested and charged Valentine Grayham of Cardin Avenue for the offense of "Possession of Cannabis. "

     

    Louis Richardson of Old Road was arrested and charged on 12th November 2007 for the offense of "Wounding" with intent to do "Grievous Bodily Harm". The offence was committed on 3rd August 2007 at Old Road.

     

    All persons will appear before the court shortly.
