BASSETERRE, St. Kitts August 26th, 2011 – The inaugural St Kitts-Nevis Football Association Business League kicked off on Saturday 13th August 2011 at Warner Park. The first match of the 10-week league saw Eastern Caribbean Central Bank FC defeat Digicel DigiBallers 4-3 in a tight contest, coming back from being down 1-3 at half time.

The second match day took place at the Newtown Football Field on Saturday 20th August 2011 and saw three battles of skill. Courts annihilated Carib Beer AllStars 7-1 in the first match of the day. Legal FC squeaked past Scotia Bank 1-0 in a closely fought and spirited match, and Five Star Rock N Dirt eased passed an undermanned Inland Revenue 5-1.

All of the 9 teams in the League will be in action over the coming weeks in this 9-a-side competition, with SKNFA the only team yet to compete.

All are invited to the third week of matches on Saturday 27th August 2011 at the Newtown Football Field which will see SKNFA face off against Carib Beer AllStars; Courts battle with Inland Revenue for the bragging rights on Bay Road; and two undefeated teams, Legal FC test their skills against ECCB FC. The first match will begin at 2:00pm, the second at 3:30pm and the last at 5:00pm.

Bring your friends and family out to watch these highly competitive matches between employees, employers, bankers, lawyers, businessmen, civil servants, rum drinkers, and former National and Premier League coaches and players.

The Digicel SKNFA Business League is a collaboration between the St Kitts-Nevis Football Association, the participating companies and is sponsored by Digicel - The Bigger Better Network. On completion of the League a team of its top players will be selected to represent St Kitts-Nevis in various Master’s tournaments throughout the region and abroad.
