Hearts & Hands For Nevis Inc.To Celebrate 9th Annual Luncheon
~~Adz:Left~~ Hearts and Hands for Nevis, Inc., a non-profit organization founded in 1999, is dedicated to positively affecting the lives of Nevisians and friends through service with integrity and excellence. The group is committed to maintaining Nevisian identity, strengthening family, bridging cultures, fostering new relationships, reviving old friendships, and connecting with Nevisians here and abroad through a number of programs.
The organization will host its 9th Annual Luncheon on January 20, 2008, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Queens, NY, from 1PM - 6PM. Recipients of the Humanitarian Award for continued service to the community will be the Hon. Vance W. Amory, former Premier of Nevis, whose political and personal service has undoubtedly had a profound impact on the lives of Nevisians; and Mr. Ken Evelyn, who has dedicated himself untiringly to the preservation of Nevis.
The keynote speaker for the event will be the Hon. Joseph W. Parry, Premier of Nevis.
The weekend of events kicks off on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in the Bronx, at 6:30PM, with a social evening and panel discussion on “Entrepreneurship: Options for Creating Income and Wealth”. The Annual Luncheon on Sunday, January 20, incorporates a literary competition, and brings together many Nevisians and friends from all walks of life with camaraderie, live entertainment, music, dancing and food.
