Second Annual College Expo Coming Soon
~~Adz:Left~~Students presently enrolled at various colleges and universities abroad have come together once again to host the “College Expo 2008- The Road to University” which will focus on empowering High School and CFB College graduates who are desirous of pursuing a university education in the near future. This to them is an ideal way of giving back to their community in appreciation for the solid start they were afforded.
Plans are well on the way for the hosting of a University Fair in early January, involving Kittitian student representatives from universities and colleges in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and the Caribbean. Already some twenty undergraduates and two graduates have given their commitment to participate in an exciting information sharing symposium with their fellow Kittitians and Nevisians.
Awareness campaigns have already begun among secondary school and college students. A launch is being planned and on this occasion the names of the committee members and sponsors will be officially released. Also planned is an overview of the event programme. A call has been issued for volunteers to come forward to assist at the Fair. It is anticipated that students interested in pursuing higher education overseas will grasp this opportunity to broaden their horizons.
