Man hospitalised after motorcycle, car collision

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A young man from Cayon was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital yesterday (Sept. 2) after he was involved in a two-vehicle collision at the round-about near to the Cayon Police Station.

The extent of his injuries remains unclear; however SKNVibes understands that at about 1:50 p.m. motorcar PA1793, operated by Shawn Peets of Basseterre, was travelling through Cayon in an easterly direction while Jeffery Daniel was travelling in the opposite direction on motorcycle PA 8394.

Reports suggest that Peets was attempting to make a right turn at the round-about when his motorcar collided with the motorcycle.

When SKNVibes arrived on the scene, Daniel had already been whisked away by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). And according to police sources, he suffered an injury to one of his legs.

The collision left the left side of the motorcycle jammed against the right side of the motorcar with extensive damage being caused to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Police officers responsible for that area have indicated that they are making investigations into the incident.
