Business Update – Coming to an agreement

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts – EASTERN CARIBBEAN tourism officials have agreed on a common tourism policy for the nine-nation Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) that will come into effect on October 1, 2011.

     

    Programme Officer at the OECS St. Lucia-based Secretariat, Dr. Lorraine Nicholas, while making the announcement said that OECS Member States are “pretty close” towards unveiling their first Common Tourism Policy.

     

    CMC News reported that details were finalized at the recently concluded second meeting of private and public sector tourism stakeholders who looked at the draft tourism policy for the OECS.

     

    The OECS Secretariat said the just concluded Antigua and Barbuda consultation was a success as tourism professionals from the private and public sector in the OECS and other stakeholders were able to agree on the key areas to be addressed in the OECS Tourism Policy.

    The Fair was held at LIME’s Sports Club Grounds. It was expected to run from 9:00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.

     

    The telecommunications company has set the date for their Annual General Meeting. The 26th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will take place on Wednesday 14th September at the St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort.

The presentation took place at the TDC Building on Fort Street and it saw eight students who are about to enter high school, receiving EC$750 to assist with school expenses.
