Earlier, Chief Labour Officer in Nevis, Averil Williams told the workshop participants, “ We want circumstances to be better for you employers at the workplace. I am not here today referring to financial gains although that should eventually be an offshoot. I am referring to things you can do to help make the workplace relationships better for you and your employees.”
“Good relationships cultivate peace and harmony,” Mrs Williams said and added that her department’s role was to monitor and regulate relationships between employers and employees in an effort to promote industrial peace and harmony in the workplace.”
The workshop topics included: ‘Terms and Conditions of Employment’ which was facilitated by Mrs. Williams and Mr Carlysle Hobson, Junior
