BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WITH the weekend being over, it is now time to reflect on some of the events and activities which took place over the busy back-to-school weekend, to find out where were the hot spots and where were the not spots.

Like any other Friday, Ziggy’s Bar at the Frigate Bay strip was the highlight of the beach, as many of the other bars with the exception of Lava Ground were lacking patrons but were booming with music.

Comfort Zone on Fort Street was ringing in patrons periodically throughout the night, many of whom sipped on drinks and ‘hung out’ on the porch.

According to the owner of the newly renamed venue, things are picking up slowly and more and more people are beginning to come out to this venue.

On Saturday it was time to get ‘in check’ as Woof Dog Entertainment presented their event dubbed Crowd Check, which was definitely ‘turned up’ by the Nu Vybes Band along with the band from under the sea – Grand Masters.

The event saw a fair turn out and went down until the wee hours of the morning, and even then the place was still pumping.

At the G-Spot in Sandy Point, it was soap dropping and bending over for many ladies who gathered at the front of the band to show off their gyrating skills.

Meanwhile, the DJs kept the crowd inside of the dancehall room on their feet although the heat inside was very intense.

Also on Saturday, the LIME Skool Aid event had a very successful turn out as children and parents from all over gathered at the grounds for the event.

There was so much activity taking place that all were well entertained and it was impossible to get bored. The atmosphere was even transformed into a music festival affair as artistes, DJs and bands thrilled the huge crowd.

Once again, yesterday (Sunday) Ziggy’s Bar managed to pull a huge crowd at their bar with many people socializing and enjoying the sounds of DJ Yardy before getting ready for the new work week ahead.
