ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, September 6th, 2011 - Speaking with Virgin Islands News Online yesterday Monday September 5, Minister Fraser said, “All the recommendations are in, and I am still mulling over them”.

When nudged for more information, the Minister added that when the time is right the individual will be revealed.
This news agency had reported previously that five candidates applied for the position that was vacated by Tomas Lamanauskas on June 7, 2011.

The CEO determines the financial and staff resources required by the Commission, which falls under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Works.

He or she will also be responsible for establishing offices and developing of internal procedures of the TRC, developing and implementing the new telecommunications and radio regulatory regime.

The TRC is a statutory body responsible for regulating the telecommunications sector of the Virgin Islands.
