Cable & Wireless prepaid mobile customers have yet another reason to be excited about their mobile service.  Pre-paid Roaming is now available in 12 Caribbean countries where Cable & Wireless operates. 

Vice President of Mobile, Consumer Sales & Marketing, Mr. David Lake, commenting on this latest development said Cable & Wireless continues to positively respond to customers’ varied requests.

“Many of our prepaid customers have asked for this facility and we are delighted that we can deliver.  We are well aware that there is a significant amount of intra-Caribbean travel, making the availability of Prepaid Roaming a real value-added for our customers,” Mr. Lake added.

Access to the roaming facility has also been made easy, requiring no activation fees.  There is however a requirement for customers to request the service from the Sales office of Cable & Wireless.  Additionally, incoming calls while roaming will be FREE.

For the moment, the countries in which Cable & Wireless GSM prepaid intra-Caribbean roaming is available are: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Turks & Caicos. 

Asked if there are plans to extend the service to North America and beyond in the future, Mr Lake indicated “Prepaid Roaming will be extended to the US, Canada and the UK by the end of this year.”
