“KING OF THE DANCEHALL” CONCERT – A BIGGER, BETTER EVENT!
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts September 7th, 2011 – The “King of the Dancehall” will be featured live in concert in St. Kitts this coming weekend, Saturday 10th September, 2011. The people of St. Kitts and Nevis have witnessed and enjoyed many performances of “The Doctor” Beenie Man over the years and this time around, Digicel - The Bigger, Better Network is pleased to be powering this month’s concert.
The management team at TWIST Global Cuisine Bar & Lounge, responsible for producing this highly anticipated concert, recently accepted Digicel’s sponsorship cheque in the amount of EC$10,000. At a recent cheque handover ceremony, Mr. Sunil Gehani of TWIST thanked Digicel for its “continuous support of culture and entertainment in St. Kitts and Nevis”.
In response, Country Manager of Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis, Sean Latty was pleased to “endorse such a concert and guarantee that the people of St. Kitts and Nevis will not only enjoy the performance of Beenie Man, but will also be treated to some Digicel promotions on that night.” Also present at the ceremony at the Digicel Head Office on Port Zante was Marketing Manager, Marsha Chatterjee.
Digicel has been ensuring that its customers are given the opportunity to be “front row and centered” at the concert by having weekly ticket giveaways. Every week, Digicel customers tune into a local radio station for a Beenie Man trivia question for their chance to win complimentary admission and VIP tickets.
Along with other sponsors, Digicel has fully endorsed the staging of the Beenie Man Concert which will see live local acts such as Small Axe Band, Nu Vybes Band International and DJ Evolution performing. The concert takes place at Carnival Village and begins at 8pm.
