Beenie Man concert postponed

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Beenie Man concert that was scheduled for this Saturday (Sep. 10) at Carnival Village has been postponed, so alas, eager fans of the dancehall artiste and concert goers will have to wait for a later date to see the singer.

According to the organiser behind the concert, Sunil Gehan, he had no choice but to postpone the concert due to a Tropical Storm named Maria that is on its way to the Federation this weekend.

Gehani added that he does not want to take the chance and have the show, because the storm would be hitting the Federation directly and even if it does not there is still the possibility of rain.

“It is a group of persons being flown in so I have to take the airfare into consideration,” he stressed.

Gehani told this media house that he would release the new date for the concert sometime tomorrow and also that it would not be far way.

Apart from Beenie Man, the show will also feature the dynamic Evolution Sounds along with the Small Axe Band and Nu Vybes Band International which would whip up some pep in the venue.

Tickets can be obtained at Twist and the Ticket Shop for $50. There is the option of purchasing an all-inclusive VIP package for $135, for which patrons will receive food and drinks as well as comfortable seating under a raised roof.
