ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, September 8th, 2011 – Users of the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park are reminded that the newly constructed restroom facility is now open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and every effort must be made to ensure it is kept clean.
Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE, told the Department of Information and Public Relations, “It is now just about two weeks since the Lions Club of Tortola officially handed over the key to government and we have made a solemn pledge to ensure that the facility is well maintained and remains spotless clean.”
Premier O’Neal said he is pleased that the public is now benefitting from the facility and is reminding users to assist government with ensuring the facility is kept in excellent condition. “Government cannot do it alone. So we are asking the public, the users of the facility to please, please help keep this most needed facility clean by doing your part,” he said.
Acting Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office Ms. Sandra Ward confirmed that until a permanent cleaning arrangement is formalised, the Premier’s Office has contracted the short-term services of a maintenance person to ensure the restroom is kept clean on a daily basis.
Premier O’Neal continues to praise the public-private project as an exemplary blueprint initiative stating that more partnerships of the same are needed throughout the Territory to help boost the tourism product.
The restroom facility at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park is in keeping with government’s commitment to ensure that public facilities are available, accessible and placed strategically throughout the Territory.
