BASSETERRE St. Kitts, September 7th 2011 - Excitement is mounting in St. Kitts for the Second Annual Latin Fiesta, which takes place 9th October, 2011 at the Spice Mill restaurant, on Cockleshell Beach.

Last year Latin Fiesta sizzled with the soul of Latin music and food, with more than 500 people attending the event. Thrilling rhythmic music moved and grooved this audience, which represented a wide cross-section of the Federation, including visitors from the neighboring islands.

This year organizers have promised an even richer musical experience with the Latin Fusion band, along with an extravagant opening dance sequence by members of Areyto, the Puerto Rican national folkloric ballet.

Kajola-Kristada Ltd is the main sponsor of the event, and according to the company’s manager, Jose Rosa, Latin Fiesta seeks to increase awareness of Latin Music and improve the relations between Latin speaking countries around the Caribbean and the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“This is truly a part of our company’s social development thrust towards the promotion of multi-cultural appreciation,” Rosa said. “Last year it was generally agreed that the cultural exchange, Latin music appreciation, food and festivities augured well for what could potentially become the root of a new wave of national appreciation and promotion of the artistic heritage of our Caribbean people.”

Latin Fiesta starts at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday 9th October, 2011 and goes well into the evening with every grain of sand on the beach pulsating with the rhythms of Salsa, Merengue, Jazz and much more.

Cost of admission is only EC$25, which includes one complimentary drink. Also, VIP tickets are available at EC$100, and includes a drink, delicious buffet meal and secure seating. Tickets can be purchased at Kajola Kristada Ltd, Spice Mill and Harpers.

Latin fiesta is sponsored by Fritolay, Formosa Garden Restaurant, Heineken, Carambola Beach Club, Sol E’ Mar, UPS, Shiggidy Shack, St. Kitts Marriott Resort and the Conquering Storm Shutters.
