    Basseterre, St. Kitts:
Officers from the Traffic Department are currently investigating an accident that happened near the junction of the Frigate Bay Road and the Earl Morne Road, Friday afternoon, December 14th. Fortunately no one was injured but both vehicles, motor car P 2167 and taxi bus TA 108, were extensively damaged.

Eyewitness state that the taxi bus, which was driven by Tinnie Pemberton, was carrying two tourists from a cruise-liner berthed at Port Zante.

The motor car was driven by Michael Lawrence.

Unconfirmed reports say that the taxi was heading toward the Basseterre area while the car was heading toward the Frigate Bay area when the accident occurred.

Eyewitnesses say a car had stopped and indicated to turn onto the Earl Morne road when P2167 turned the corner on the main road. In the process of braking, the P2167 spun around and collided with the taxi bus.

All four persons involved in the accident escaped without any serious injuries.
