    Basseterre, St. Kitts (October 8, 2004): The Labour Department will host its second seminar on "Building A Productivity Culture" on October 14-15 at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

     

     

    The programme is organised by the International Labour Organisation’s Programme for the Promotion of Management-Labour Cooperation (PROMALCO).

     

     

    It is geared towards senior level officials from the public and private sectors. Participants will be challenged to consider the components of a national culture of productivity, new trends in productivity strategies as well as concepts and approaches to the rapid globalization of economies.

     

     

    Other topics will include major factors constraining productivity improvement as well as design and implementation of productivity improvement programmes.

     

    With its reputation as an exciting, fact-filled, hands-on gathering of high caliber participants, the 2004 meeting continues to focus on practicality in achieving productivity. Dr Joseph Propenko, a renowned international management consultant will be the principal facilitator and presenter.
