Job analysis project topic of next HR talk

    ROADTOWN TortolaBVI, September 13th, 2011  – The job analysis project, which is currently in its first phase, will be the topic of the next Human Resources (HR) Talk scheduled for Thursday, September 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Breezeway of the Central Administration Building.

    The session, which is organised by the Department of Human Resources, is part of an ongoing awareness and education campaign to further explain the importance of the project to public officers and to obtain their feedback.Acting Director of Human Resources, Mrs. Michelle Donovan Stevens, Director, KPMG BVI, Mr. Russell Crumpler and Associate Director, KPMG Isle of Man, Ms. Micky Swindale will be the resource persons at the session.

     

    The Human Resources Director is urging public officers to attend the session to learn more about the project and their role in assisting the KPMG team.

     

    Mrs. Donovan Stevens said, “I am encouraging all public officers to complete the anonymous opinion survey which was designed and is operated by KPMG. The survey was e-mailed to staff on September 8 and is accessible on the Government’s portal. Officers who do not have access to Government’s email may complete a paper copy of the survey, which have been placed in a number of locations outside the Central Administration Building.”

     

    “It is important that Public Officers understand the scope of the project and its intended outcome, which is geared at accurate job roles and organisational structures and opportunities for improved operations and service delivery,” Mrs. Donovan Stevens added.

     

    Copies of the opinion survey may be collected from the Water and Sewerage, Public Works and Solid Waste Departments, Willard Wheatley and Althea Scatliffe Primary Schools and the Elmore Stoutt High School. Paper copies of the survey may also be collected from and returned to the receptionist area in the Vanterpool Building on Virgin Gorda and the District Offices on Jost Van Dyke and Anegada

     

    Alternatively, copies can be collected from the Help Desk in the Central Administration Building located on the ground floor of the West Atrium and from the security desk at the East Atrium. Completed surveys will be submitted directly to KPMG and they will share the results.

     

    HR Talk is a programme designed and hosted by the Department of Human Resources as a forum for public officers to learn more about issues affecting them.
