ROSEAU Dominica, September 14th, 2011 -- The Government of Mexico has informed the Caribbean Community (CARlCOM) Secretariat that its offer of scholarships to foreign nationals for the year 2012 is now open for applications.

The scholarships are intended for both undergraduate and graduate students wishing to pursue Master's, PhD and Medical Specialisation Courses, as well as Graduate Research, Postdoctoral Fellowships, Undergraduate and Graduate Mobility Programmes and other Special Programmes. A copy of the Note Verbal from the Government of Mexico is attached.

Member States are asked to note that all scholarship applications must be submitted to the Mexican Embassy or concurrent Embassy in the applicant's country by his/her Ministry of Foreign Affairs or of Education and/or by the local government institution designated for this purpose.

Member States are also asked to note that the Mexican Embassies will accept applications and supporting documentation from Thursday, 30 June 2011 to Tuesday, 14 October 2011. No extensions will be granted.
