    Basseterre, St. Kitts
: Appropriately choosing the season of cheer and goodwill, the Racing and Gaming Services (RGS) donated a variety of articles to the children receiving medical care at the Paediatric Ward at the Joseph N. France General Hospital, yesterday (December 20.)

The items which included toys, baskets of baby items and sleepers were presented by Mr. Dion Benjamin, an RGS Supervisor and a Representative of the Social Committee.

Mr. Benjamin said that it was the committee’s desire to bring holiday cheer to the children receiving medical attention at the JNF Hospital.

He elaborated that if the presents brought a smile to one little face, then the RGS committee would know that its activities were not in vain.  The Social Committee Representative took the opportunity to encourage other donors to come forward.

Assistant Matron Ms. Rita Isaac accepted on behalf of JNF.  She said that she had been contacted two months earlier by RGS enquiring as to what Paediatric’s needed.  She proclaimed that it was rather pleasant to see that they had followed through with the actual donation because on occasion similar requests are made but to no avail.  ~~Adz:Right~~

Assistant Matron Isaac jovially thanked Mr. Benjamin noting that although this was the first RGS donation to JNF, she hoped it would not be the last.

Earlier this year when RGS donated 18 computers to the Ministry of Education, Manager Andy D’Andrea said that his organization was committed to social development and education in the Federation.  Over the last two years RGS has donated to various entities including the Ministry of Social and Community Development, schools, sporting clubs and dance theatres.
